San Diego Legion signed Tomas Aoake for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old wing/center is 6’0” and 207 lbs.
Tomas was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and attended De la Salle College. He’s played touch rugby, rugby league, and rugby union
Tomas played rugby league for the New Zealand Warriors in 2014 and 2015. He played rugby union with Stoke Rugby Club in Nelson and with East Coast Boys Rugby Club in Auckland.
He played provincial rugby with Tasman Mako in the ITM Cup, later the Mitre 10 Cup, in 2017 and 2018 before switching to North Harbour 2019-2021 in the Mitre 10 Cup, and currently the National Provincial Championship. He also played in the 2020 Red Bull Ignite7 for Surge Men.
Tomas also played in preseason matches for the Blues and the Crusaders.
