NOLA Gold Rugby Club has Kyle Rogers returning for the second year of his contract, taking him through the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old fullback/flyhalf is 6’3″ and 215 lbs.
Kyle played 396 minutes in 11 matches, starting 4, and scored one try in 2021 for NOLA Gold. In 2020 he has been a sales executive in Sacramento County, California.
Kyle played with the San Diego Legion during the 2018 and 2019 MLR seasons. In 2019 he played 432 minutes in 10 matches, starting 4, for the Legion, and in 2018 as a Collegiate All-American, he joined the team late in the season and played 9 minutes in 2 matches.
He attended Granite Bay High School in California and graduated in 2013. Then it was on to the University of Arizona until his graduation in 2018. He was a Rudy Schulz finalist for the best collegiate rugby player in the country and was the 2018 Co-PAC Conference player of the year. He was also named the University of Arizona MVP from 2016-2018 and was the team’s captain, playing with his two brothers on the team.
