NOLA Gold kevin Sullivan 2022 Profile

NOLA Gold Rugby Club’s Kevin Sullivan returns for the second year of a contract that he signed through the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old prop is 6’2″ and 270 lbs.

Kevin played 562 minutes in 15 matches, starting 6, and scored one try in 2021. He played 84 minutes in 4 matches during the pandemic shortened 2020 season. In 2019 he played 328 minutes in 12 matches, starting once and scoring one try.

Kevin graduated from St. Ignatius Preparatory School in San Francisco in 2013 where he played both offensive and defensive lines. He also achieved High School All-American honors for rugby.

Upon graduation, he went to Cal from 2013 to 2018 where he majored in Political Science. While at Cal the team won Varsity Cup Titles in 2016 with a 40-29 win over BYU and again in 2017 with a 43-13 win over Arkansas State.

In 2017 he was named to the Collegiate All-American 1st Team and in 2017 the PAC12 All-Conference honors. He also was selected as the D1A Player of the Week on January 26, 2017, for his four-try performance against the University of Arizona. In 2018 he was also a finalist for the Rudy Scholz Award for the best men’s college rugby player in the country and was selected to the USA Rugby Men’s Collegiate All-American Camp.
