San Diego Legion Signs Rohan O’Regan

San Diego Legion signed Rohan O’Regan for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old back row is 6’4″ and 235 lbs.

Rohan is from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He played rugby for the Sydney University FC Juniors and then played senior rugby with Sydney University in the NSW Shute Shield from 2014-2021. He was the team’s captain in 2018 and again in 2020. He played for Ealing Trailfinders in 2018-2019 before returning to Sydney University and helping the team win back-to-back championships. The team made it into the final in 2020 again, but a triple was not in the cards.

Rohan also played in the National Rugby Championship with the Sydney Stars in 2015-2016 and with the NSW Country Eagles from 2016-2018.

Rohan’s career totals include 78 NSW Shute Shield matches, with 75 starts, and 15 tries. He played in 21 NRC matches starting 14 and scored one try. He also played in 10 RFU Championship matches, starting 3.

He now is ready to join another League and hopes to make an impact for the Legion in 2022.
