The Toronto Arrows re-signed Marc-Antoine Ouellet for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old prop (27 in April) is 6’4″ and 270 lbs.
Marc-Antoine played 109 minutes in 5 matches for the Arrows in 2021. He had 24 carry meters on eight carries, 10 tackles (100% completion), 31 ruck arrivals, and two offloads as an impact player throughout 2021. He also is the first Quebecois that has signed and played with the Arrows.
He played in the Rugby Rally in October, the first time in 867 days, which the Arrows played at home.
Marc-Antoine is from Québec City, Québec, Canada. He attended Petit Séminaire de Québec (high school) and enjoyed playing youth basketball and baseball. He attended Cégep Garneau, playing football in 2012, 2013, and 2014. He then went to Laval University, where he majored in Mechanical Engineering. He continued playing football as a defensive lineman at Laval in 2015 and 2016 and helped the team win the Vanier Cup in 2016.
In 2018 Marc-Antoine began playing rugby with CRQ (club-de-rugby-de-Québec). He quickly adapted to the sport and in 2019-2020 played with the Pacific Pride, Rugby Canada’s National Development Team. Last month, he was one of 36 players invited to attend Rugby Canada’s Senior National Team Training Camp.
