Toronto Arrows Re-Signs Adrian Wadden

The Toronto Arrows re-signed Adrian Wadden for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old lock is 6’5″ and 245 lbs.

Adrian played 748 minutes in 14 matches, starting 8, and scoring one try for the Arrows in 2021. He had 225 carry meters on 55 carries, 197 ruck arrivals, 67 tackles (84.8% completion), 29 lineout takes, five tackle-breaks, four offloads, two lineout steals, and one linebreak.

Adrian is from Mississauga, Ontario, and attended Lorne Park S.S. He attended Leeds Beckett University in the U.K. in 2018-2019 where he played rugby for the 1st XV. He played with the BUCS in the Super League final in 2019. He also played at McMaster University in 2014 and 2015 where he majored in Social Sciences.

He played club rugby for Oakville Crusaders and provincial rugby for the Ontario Blues. He also represented Canada in the IRB Junior World Trophy competition in 2015 and 2016 and for Canada A in the Americas Pacific Challenge in both 2016 and 2017. In 2016 he also played against Doncaster and in 2018 for Canada Selects against Castres.

The addition of Wadden represents another athlete’s progression through the pathway for professional rugby.
