Utah Warriors Re-Signed Tyler Fisher

The Utah Warriors re-signed Tyler Fisher for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 28-year-old center is 6’3″ and 245 lbs.

Tyler played 1030 minutes in 14 matches, starting 13, and scored one try in 2021.

Tyler played 257 minutes in all five matches, during the COVID-19 shortened 2020 MLR season, and scored one try. He started at the outside center three times and was a replacement twice.

Tyler is from Westville, South Africa, and attended the Westville Boys’ High School. He played youth rugby with the Sharks from 2009-2014. He played for the U16s in the 2009 Grant Khomo Week and in 2012 in the U19s Provincial Championship.

He attended the University of South Africa from 2012 to 2015, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Marketing and Management.

Tyler was selected for the South Africa U20s tour to Argentina in 2013. He made his debut for the Sharks in the Vodacom Cup against the Border Bulldogs and made 9 appearances for the Sharks XV between 2012 and 2015.

In 2015 he also helped the Leopards win the First Division Currie Cup. In the 2016-2017 season, he played with the Pumas and during the 2017-2018 season, with the South West District Eagles. In 2019 he played with West Harbour in the Shute Shield competition in Australia.
