LA Giltinis Re-Signs Nathan Den Hoedt

The LA Giltinis re-signed Nathan den Hoedt or “Moose” as he sometimes is called, for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old lock (25 in June) is 6’6″ and 250 lbs.

Nathan played 1107 minutes in 16 matches, starting 13, and scored one try for the Giltinis in 2021.

Nathan is from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and attended Brisbane State High School. He played rugby with Brisbane City and then with the NSW Country Eagles in the National Rugby Championship, and was part of the Emerging NSW Waratahs squad. He also played with Sunnybank, working his way up to the Premiers. In 2019-2020 he played with Randwich Rugby Club and was the team’s captain in the Shute Shield.

LA Giltinis Comments

“It’s massively exciting to be back on board with the Giltinis for what will be a terrific challenge,” Den Hoedt said. Australian lock Nathan Den Hoedt knocked backed overtures from two Australian Super Rugby clubs to stay in Los Angeles.

“Nathan is coming into the best years of his career. He learned a lot from Dave Dennis and will continue to do so.”
