Toronto Arrows Adds Mitch Voralek

The Toronto Arrows signed Mitch Voralek for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old fullback (25 in February) is 6’0″ and 195 lbs.

Mitch is from Waterloo, Ontario. He attended the University of Waterloo from 2016 to 2021and graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering.  He played varsity rugby for four seasons with the program from 2013-2016 at flyhalf, led the Warriors in scoring, and was named an Ontario University Athletics all-star each of those seasons. He also earned OUA Player of the Year honours in 2018, topping the provincial post-secondary league scoring chart with 124 points through four tries, 37 conversions, and 10 penalty goals.

Mitch will make his MLR debut in 2022 following his graduation from the Senior Arrows Academy, which he began in 2020, becoming a member of the club’s inaugural class of senior development athletes.

Most recently, Voralek started for the Arrows XV at the Rugby Rally this past October, helping to guide the home side to a 57-10 victory over the Atlantic Selects.

Mitch played for the Canada Maple Leafs Sevens national development program and toured South America in 2019. He played for the Ontario Blues senior men’s provincial program, and played his club rugby with Waterloo County, and was named Rugby Ontario’s Senior Provincial Player of the Year in 2019.
