The Toronto Arrows re-signed Siaki Vikilani for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 21-year-old No.8 is 6’3″ and 235 lbs.
Siaki played 76 minutes in 2 matches, starting once, in an injury-shortened, international duty-curtailed debut 2021 season. He had 27 carry meters on six carries, 14 tackles (93.3% completion), 17 ruck arrivals, and one offload in limited action over his first season with the club. He also played with the Arrows XV against the Atlantic Selects at York Lions Stadium on October 16 in a 57-10 win. It was the first time in 867 days since 2019 that the Arrows played a home match.
Siaki is from Burnaby, British Columbia, and attended Burnaby Central and played rugby for the Wildcats. He played age-grade rugby for Canada for the U19s on their tour to Ireland in 2018. In 2019 he played for the U20s at the World Rugby Trophy competition in São José dos Campos, Brazil with the team finishing in 5th place.
He also played for the BC Bears against the Royal Air Force in the RAF Centenary Tour to Canada in 2019 and played for Vancouver Island Crimson Tide against the Seattle Seawolves. Last year he was a regular-starter for Rugby Canada’s Pacific Pride development program in the British Columbia Premiership and played his grassroots rugby with Burnaby Lake.
Vikilani has earned seven caps for Canada since making his international debut against Wales in July 2021.
