The Utah Warriors signed Jamie Lane for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old lock is 6’6″ and 250 lbs.
Jamie is from Auckland, New Zealand. He attended Howick College from 2009-2011 and then Sacred heart College from 2012-2013. During the 2013 rugby season, he was the team’s captain.
In 2013 he also represented the New Zealand Schools and in 2015 played for the New Zealand U20s one match at the Oceania Junior Championships at the Gold Coast.
From 2014-2017, Jamie attended Unitec Institute of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Degree. During this time he played for Auckland Marist Rugby Club in 2015 and for Ponsonby in 2016 through the 2021 season.
Jamie played Mitre 10 Cup rugby with Auckland in 2017 through 2019 and then in the newly named Bunning NPC with the team in 2021.
Jamie looks forward to joining the Utah Warriors for the Major League Rugby 2022 season.
