LA Giltinis Adam Ashe 2021 Revised Profile

Los Angeles Giltinis signed Scotland international Adam Ashe for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old No.8/flanker (29 in July) is 6’4″ and 240 lbs.

Adam was born in Livingston, Scotland, and attended Alva Academy from 206-2012. In 2010 he played for Scotland U17s at the Wellington International Festival and went to Valladolid, Spain as part of a development training squad. He progressed to the U18s the following year at the European Uner-18 Rugby Union Championship, and in 2013 made ten appearances for the U20s at the Six Nations U20s and then at the IRB Junior World Championships.

On 3 April 2014, Ashe was named the recipient of the John McPhail scholarship in 2014, however, he was called up to Scotland’s National Team and made his debut against South Africa at Port Elizabeth, Jun 28, 2014, as a starter at No.8. He has 6 caps, starting 5 matches, with his last test on Aug 22, 2015, at Torino against Italy.

He played rugby for Hillfoots RFC, and for Stirling County in the Scottish Premiership. Between 2011-2020, he made 73 appearances for the Glasgow Warriors in PRO 14 Rugby.
