Seattle Seawolves Adds Setareki Tuilevuka

The Seattle Seawolves signed Eagle No. 418, Setareki “Seta” Tuilevuka, for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 39-year-old center is 6’0″ and 215 lbs.

Seta, who is from Suva, Fiji, played rugby as a youth along with his brother Alipate, another former Eagle and the current Director of Seattle RFC. He also played basketball in the 2005 South Pacific Mini-Games.

When he moved to the United States, he played with the Las Vegas Blackjacks before signing a professional contract to a Top 14 French club, Montpellier, where he played from 2010 to 2012, making 16 appearances and scoring 2 tries.

Seta played for the USA National Men’s Rugby Team on November 13, 2010, starting against Portugal, and then was selected as a reserve the following week against Georgia, but did not enter the match.

He played for Béziers in the French Pro D2 from 2012-14, making 22 appearances and scoring one try. In 2014 he joined ROC La Voulte-Valence of the Fédérale 1 league, before shifting to Bort-Les-Orgues in the Fédérale 2 league and then to CO Creusit in 2019 until the pause of rugby globally due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He then returned to the U.S. and will make his debut in Major League Rugby with the Seattle Seawolves. He has been in the Seawolves camp the past few weeks and is excited to play in the MLR.
