Stan was born in Southampton, England. He attended John McGlashan College before graduating from Whitgift School. His rugby prowess resulted in being selected for England’s U18s and then the U20s, which won the World Rugby U20s Champions Cup in 2016.

He played in the Harlequins Academy in 2014-2015 and made his professional debut with the senior side against Gloucester in the Anglo-Welsh Cup in February 2015. He also was selected to play against the Maori All Blacks in the team’s 150th Anniversary Challenge match.

After playing 30 times with the Harlequins 1st team, he signed with Coventry Rugby Club but was released from the contract to join the Exeter Chiefs for the 2018/19 season. In 2020 he played briefly with Edingburgh and then with Brive in France.
