NOLA Gold Adds Keanu Andrade

NOLA Gold added Keanu Andrade after he was selected in the second round of the Major League Rugby Supplemental/Dallas Jackals dispersal draft and then traded to the team. The 23-year-old center/scrumhalf is 5’7″ and 188 lbs.

Keanu is from Danville, California, and attended De LaSalle High School. He played football as a linebacker and in 2015 was named to the All-Northern California High School football team. He also played rugby with the Danville Oaks and helped the team win the NorCal Varsity Premier Championship, as well as the Pacific Cup. He also was honored as a USA High School All-American, and at camp played hooker.

Keanu attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2016 to 2020, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies. He played rugby and earned a sevens championship at the Collegiate Rugby Championship, was second at the USA Rugby Collegiate Sevens, won the PAC 7s twice, and was a West Coast Sevens winner. He was also honored as a FloRugby D1A 2nd team All-American for 2019/2020.
