Old Glory DC added Thomas Capriotti, who was drafted by San Diego Legion in the 2021 MLR Collegiate Draft, to their 2022 training squad. The 23-year-old hooker is 5’11” and 230 lbs.
Thomas is from New Hope, Pennsylvania, and attended New Hope Solebury High School where he played football as a running back. He played rugby with Doylestown Youth Rugby Club, as well as for Rugby PA All-State Varsity Boys High School in the USA North East Regional Cup Tournament in 2016.
Thomas attended Penn State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Business and Finance. He played in the D1A Rugby East Conference and was one of the leading collegian hookers in the United States.
Although he was drafted by San Diego, he did not sign with the team, and instead signed a training contract with Old Glory DC. He also played for Young Glory against the Connecticut U23s in December 2021.
