The Utah Warriors re-signed Dominik Toluono for the 2021 season. The 24-year-old center (25 in May) is 6’1″, 215 lbs.
Dom played in the last three matches during the COVID-19 shortened 2020 MLR season, starting once at inside center. During the Fall, he played with the Warriors Selects.
Dominik is from Taylorsville, Utah, and attended Taylorsville High School. He played rugby during high school with Lowland Rugby Club, Wasatch Rugby Club, and for the Utah Lions Rugby’s 15s and 7s teams. He also played in the Pioneer 7s with Mana Rugby Club in 2015.
The Utah Warriors team profile indicated that “his father played club rugby in Western Samoa and in Utah, which inspired Toluono to give it a try his freshman year of high school.”
