The Utah Warriors re-signed Veremalua Vugakoto for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 22-year-old hooker (23 in December) is 6’1″ and 255 lbs.
Veremalua started all five matches during the COVID-19 shortened 2020 MLR season.
Tuvere is from Daviqele, Kadavu, Fiji, and attended Nelson Boys College in Sigatoka.
He was the captain of Fiji’s U20s and has played for the Fiji National Team 10 times. He made his debut for Fiji against Samoa on June 9, 2018, and his last match was at the 2019 Rugby World Cup against Georgia on October 3.
Veremalua has also played for the Fiji Warriors, Nadroga Rugby, Suva Rugby, Fijian Drua, and the Global Rapid Rugby’s Fijian Latui. On November 16, 2019, he played with the Flying Fijians against the Barbarians.
