Rugby ATL Signed Jalen Tatum

Rugby ATL signed Kennesaw State University graduate, Jalen Tatum for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 22-year old flanker is 6’5″ and 245 lbs.

Jalen was a crossover athlete who played lacrosse for 9 years by his senior year at Kennesaw Mountain High School. Following his graduation in 2016, he attended Kennesaw State, graduating in 2020.

Jalen is relatively new to rugby having played it for the last three years. He signed with Pathway 404 in 2020 and started at openside flanker for both Black v Silver matches and in the team’s 51-0 with over Nola Gold Academy.

Rugby ATL Comments

“Jalen is a local talent and crossover athlete that came to us through a blossoming relationship between the 404 and Kennesaw State. Jalen’s a pro specs athletic open side that uses his vision from Lacrosse to put the ball into space. He’ll learn a lot in his first season from open-side Matt Heaton and we look forward to his growth,” said General Manager Scott Lawrence.

Tatum on the signing said, “It’s a blessing, I just can’t wait to get to work and compete.”
