Rugby ATL Signs Lincoln Sii

Rugby ATL signed Lincoln Sii for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old tighthead/Loosehead prop (24 in May) is 6’0″ and 269 lbs.
Lincoln is from Temecula, California, and attended Great Oak High School from 2012-2015. He played football as an offensive and defensive lineman and began playing rugby in 2015 for the Temecula Mountain Lions.
He attended Grand Canyon University from 2015 through his graduation in April 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He played rugby during his time at the university and his performance earned him an invitation to the AIG Men’s Junior All-American Evaluation Camp in December 2016. At GCU he started 27 of the 29 games he played and scored 7 tries.
During the MLR Collegiate Draft in June 2020, Lincoln was projected as a top draft pick, however, to the surprise of rugby pundits was not drafted. That provided him the opportunity to sign with any team and he signed with 404 Rugby ATL. Since joining the team, he has played in the first two inter-squad matches and is on the matchday roster against NOLA Gold Academy this weekend.
Lincoln quickly proved his worth to Rugby ATL and he is now signed for the 2021 MLR season.

Rugby ATL Comments

“We know Lincoln has tremendous upside and we want to invest in his future here with Rugby ATL. We are looking to create a succession plan of quality front rows that compete professionally and we hope to see RugbyATL players represent the Eagles someday,” said General Manager Scott Lawrence.
Lincoln will have many front-row mentors including 3 capped Eagles and the seasoned professional “Big Toko” to learn from. “It’s a blessing to be here and thank you to Rugby ATL and the RATLER fans, I won’t let you down,” said Sii.
