Dallas Harlequins Release

The Dallas Harlequins RFC are happy to announce the signing of new women’s head coach Ben Heenan

Ben is a very well-traveled rugby player who has played at a high standard growing up in New Zealand before making the move to Australia where he played for U20 Western Australia. He then moved to the UK playing for Turnbridge before moving to the United States.

Ben has represented the Dallas Harlequins where he played Division 1 rugby between 2012 – 2015.

“I have been lucky enough to have worked with some very talented coaching teams and squads over my playing career and is very excited to have the opportunity to blend their styles into my own.

I have seen firsthand the culture, work ethic, and skill set of the lady Quins and cannot wait to continue their development on and off the field.”

Club President Conmee said “I think everyone is really excited. I met and had a good conversation with Ben. He’s incredibly passionate and hungry to get down to work.

We are excited about what he’s going to bring to the Club. We want someone who will work really hard with all our players, we’ve got someone who cares passionately and wants to work on the pitch and wants to concentrate on that part of the job.

Ben’s appointment ticks all the boxes we are looking for in terms of his style of rugby, coaching mentality, open-mindedness. We are all on the same page”.

Ben will start with the club this coming preseason, his aim is to get acclimated into his role as soon as possible and will take the time to connect with all his players to ensure that everyone is aligned with a goal in mind coming into the 2021 season.

Ben congratulations on becoming the Dallas Harlequin’s Women’s Head Coach.

It is a very exciting time for the club. We wish you a very successful preseason and look forward to supporting you and the team throughout the year and beyond.

Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.”                                             #QUINSFAMILY #AllQUIN
