USA RUGBY INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR APPLICATION »
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to help lead a growing global and Olympic sport toward development and presence in the United States market at a community and elite level. There is enormous potential in both the Men’s and Women’s games of rugby.
The search will target the following known areas of expertise: Commercial and Media rights, Legal, Finance, Corporate Operations & Governance, and Diversity & Equity; however, all interested parties are encouraged to apply. These target areas will evolve as individual Directors are elected and the balance of skills and expertise required changes.
Successful candidates will have had prior executive level and corporate governance experience in the areas targeted with national for-profit or non-profit entities. Additionally, executive-level experience in leading company efforts to achieve diversity goals will be considered. Ideally, successful candidates will have extensive networks in the corporate world. Successful candidates will also exemplify USA Rugby’s core values and will possess a passion for American sports at every level of the game.
The reorganized Board of Directors will consist of four Independent Directors, four International Athlete representatives, and three representatives of USA Rugby’s Community Councils across Youth & High School, College, and Senior Club rugby. It will be responsible for overseeing USA Rugby’s emergence from bankruptcy and for developing and implementing the reorganized and re-focused strategic and operational plans of the organization.
The Nominating Committee invites interested parties to submit their application via this link immediately.
Applications will be accepted until all four positions are filled, but no later than September 15, 2020.
