He also was the quarterback in the California Interscholastic Federation D1 State Championship in 2006, losing to Canyon County.

In 2014 he moved to Dublin, Ireland, and played for Dublin University RFC at Trinity College, where he stayed until Spring 2018. He was a House Master and rugby coach at Blackrock College in 2014-2015. He also studied at the Dublin School of Design in 2017.

Tim Maupin and NOLA Gold Rugby Club

Tim joined New Orleans Gold Rugby Club during the 2018 Major League Rugby season and played both center and wing. His experience and guile were a welcome addition, as the team had experienced numerous injuries.

Tim’s performance speaks for itself and for both, it was a good fit. In 2019 the team has been very active in recruiting and signing talented professional athletes and made the team a contender in 2019. NOLA Gold continued with a strong truncated season in 2020 and has since signed their key players to long-term contracts.
