Old Glory DC drafted Casey Renaud as the 11th pick in the Major League Rugby Collegiate draft. The 23-year-old lock is 6’8″ and 245 lbs.
Casey is from Charlotte, Vermont, and attended South Burlington High School where he played football as a defensive end. He then enrolled at Kutztown University where he played four years of rugby program under Dr. Gregg Jones between 2015-2019, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies. He also was honored as a Collegiate All-American Honorable Mention after attending a USA Collegiate All-American Camp in 2019.
According to Doc Jones, Casey is more than a lineout specialist and is strong both defensively and offensively. Renaud was a key member in helping Kutztown win the 2019 Rugby East League title. During Summer 2019 he played with Belmont Shore and recently he trained in New Zealand with Whangamata.
