The Toronto Arrows signed Canadian international Will Kelly for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 22-year-old (23 in August) flyhalf/fullback is 6’3″, and 210 lbs.
Will played with the Ontario Arrows during the 2018 exhibition season and trained with the team in 2019. In 2020 he played in 2 matches in 2020 for the Arrows, made 7 tackles, and kicked for 42 meters.
Will is from Ancaster, Ontario, and attended Hillfield Strathallan College. He has attended McMaster University since 2016 and played rugby during the 2016-2017 season.
Will played AAA hockey for the Brantford 99ers, Hamilton Bulldogs, and the Jr. B Ancaster Avalanche.
He played club rugby for the Brantford Harlequins since 2011. He represented the Canada Under-20s in 2017 and made his Senior National Team debut against Brazil on February 9, 2019, in the Americas Rugby Championship. Will is also has played for Rugby Canada’s Pacific Pride, their National Development Program.
For the 2018-2019 season, he went to Wales and played rugby with the PRO14 Rugby Dragon’s Academy, the Dragons Under-23s, and for Cross Keys. He then returned to Canada in 2019 and trained with the Toronto Arrows.
The Toronto Arrows continue to foster Canadian talent and have another excellent back for 2021 in Will Kelly.
