Toronto Arrows Tyler Rowland 2021 Profile

The Toronto Arrows re-signed Tyler Rowland for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 21-year-old tighthead prop (22 in October) is 6’3″ and 285lbs.

Tyler played 23 minutes during the 2020 season. He also was part of Rugby Canada’s Pacific Pride National Development Program.

Tyler is from Mississauga, Ontario, and attended Mentor College. He played club rugby with the Toronto Nomads and has played age-grade level rugby for Canada.

He played for the Under-17s and was the captain of the Under-18s in 2017. The team played in the Rugby Europe Open Championships. He also played for the Under-20s at the World RugbyTrophy competition in 2018 and in 2019.

While with the Toronto Nomads, Tyler was a 2017 scholarship recipient to travel to New Zealand to train with the Canstaff Crusaders International High-Performance Unit.

Tyler has attended the University of British Columbia since 2017 where he is majoring in the Arts and plays rugby with the Thunderbirds.

Tyler has also played provincial rugby with the Ontario Blues Under 19s in the Canadian Rugby Championships.
