USA vs Australia Recap
The first half had Australia scoring three tries for a 17-0 lead at the break. The first had Lachie Anderson scoring after a missed tackle with Lewis Holland adding the extras.
Perry Baker saved a potential try by Trae Williams as his foot went into touch. With the USA entering a breakdown, Perry Baker was sent to the bin for an infraction and Henry Hutchison and Lachie Anderson added tries for a 17-0 lead at the break.
The USA answered back with a Steve Tomasin try after he split defenders with Madison Hughes adding the extras to cut the lead to 17-7. That’s the way it would end with Australia winning the pool and the USA finishing in second. Both teams will advance to the Cup Quarterfinals tomorrow.
