USA Falcons Named for Los Angeles Invitational

The USA Men’s Falcons have been named for the Los Angeles Invitational being held Friday, Feb 28 to Saturday, Feb 29 alongside HSBC LA Sevens. Day One will take place at Orange County Great Park with Day Two at Dignity Health Sports Park Field Complex.

Men’s Sevens Assistant Coach Anthony Roques will coach the Falcons with senior national team players Mike Te’o and Faitala Talapusi the Co-Captains. Maceo Brown will play on Friday at the LA Invitational while also serving as an injury reserve for the senior tournament Saturday and Sunday.

“We’re looking forward to having the Falcons play at the Los Angeles Invitational,” said Head Coach Mike Friday. “This will be a great opportunity for our exciting younger Dawgs to grow and challenge themselves alongside some of our more experienced Dawgs who are keen to make a point to the coaches who will be there watching.

“As the domestic game grows, the LAI will also give us a chance to identify new talent as we look ahead to not only Tokyo 2020 but the start of a new cycle next year in the lead up to Rugby World Cup 2022 and Paris 2024 Olympics.”
