Nate Osborne has made three changes in his starters and four changes in his reserves for this week’s match against Rugby ATL. Lindsey Stevens, Kevin O’Connor, and Ross Depperschmidt move from last week’s reserves to starting roles at hooker, flanker, and at outside center, respectively.

Cam Falcon, John Sullivan, Kane Thompson, and newly signed Trace Bolstad will see their first regular-season action in 2020.

Three positional changes were also made in the starters with Scott Gale moving from flyhalf to scrum-half, Robbie Coleman from fullback to flyhalf, and Carl Meyer from outside center to fullback.

NOLA Gold has a strong experienced attacking team that is capable of scoring many tries. The team had a great deal of success last season in gaining bonus points through scoring four tries or more.

Last week Cam Dolan scored a hat trick and Julian Dominguez proved to be powerful and elusive on the wing. Carl Meyer took over the kicking duties and has a strong leg.

The team is looking for a physical battle and has a 6 to 2 split in forwards to backs in the reserves.

After week one of the MLR season, NOLA Gold finds itself in a four-way tie for first place along the Toronto Arrows, New England Free jacks and Rugby ATL with 5 points, however, based on point differential, NOLA Gold tops the standings.
