Glendale Raptors Rebrand as Colorado Raptors

Colorado Raptors Release

The Glendale Raptors, Colorado’s only Major League Rugby (MLR) team, announced today that they are rebranding as the Colorado Raptors.

“Several other rugby team names represent their entire state or region,” said Mark Bullock, Colorado Raptors’ Director of Rugby. “We are Colorado’s Major League Rugby team – why not make that official?”

In addition to the name change, the logo underwent a few updates to incorporate the Colorado name with nods to the iconic state flag.

“We are excited to share this team with all of Colorado and help spread the excitement of Major League Rugby across the state,” said Pam Dunbar, Director of Marketing for the Raptors.

MLR will be kicking off its third season, but rugby roots run deep in Glendale. Infinity Park, home of the Raptors, has hosted everything from local to international rugby events since 2007.

Colorado Raptors season-ticket reservations start today. Individual game tickets will be available in December.

The new website will expand as we get closer to the season. The player and coach pages will be expanded, there will be a larger, more interactive schedule, the old photo galleries will be retooled for our new, higher definition site, and on and on. So, pardon our dust as we prepare for 2020! We have so much to show you and we are excited.

The home opener for the Colorado Raptors will be February 22, 2020.
