Austin Elite Rugby Adds Colby Stevens

Austin Elite Rugby added Colby Stevens ahead of their final regular season match against the Seattle Seawolves. The 27-year-old scrumhalf and is 5’7″ and 180 lbs.

Colby is from Ben Lomond, California and attended Valley Christian High School and played with Silicon Valley RFC in 2005-2006. He then played D1A rugby with Saint Mary’s of California from 2009-2014 and majored in Economics.

While at Saint Mary’s, he received the Jack Walston Ironman Award (2013-14) for the player who most embodies the team. He also won the Most Improved Player Award (2011-12). Colby played both 7s and 15s and competed in the D1A National Championship from 2012-2014. He captained the B and C sides and was nominated for the Collegiate All-Americans in 2014.

During Summer 2013 he played rugby 7s for the San Jose Seahawks and following his graduation, he played with Metropolis RFC for the 2014-2015 season. The he played 7s with San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Club during Summer 2015 before moving to Ireland to play with Monkstown RFC in Dublin for the 2015-2016 season. Since 2016 he has played with San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Club in the Pacific Rugby Premiership.
