Old Glory DC signed former Green Bay Packers tight end and fullback Ryan Smith for the 2019 exhibition season. The 23-year-old No. 8 is 6’4 and 260 lbs.
Ryan is from River Forest, Illinois and played football and rugby at Fenwick High School. He attended Miami University (Ohio) and played Varsity football for four years and rugby his Senior year. In May 2018 he signed a free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers and was released in September.
Ryan is looking forward to contributing to Old Glory DC during their exhibition season in May and June 2019.
