Rugby United New York Loaned Sean McNulty

Rugby United New York have added Sean McNulty on loan from the New England Free Jacks for the 2019 season. The 23-year-old hooker, who can also play back row, is 6’2″ and 245 lbs.

Sean was born in London to Irish parents and only moved to Rye, New York when he was 1. He regards Dublin, Ireland as his hometown.

He moved to Bahrain when he was 10 in 2006 and began playing rugby at Bahrain RFC.  He went to boarding school at Rockwell College from 2007-2013 and played rugby with the first team from 2011-2013. The team won the Munster Schools Senior Cup and he represented Munster on age grade teams and for Ireland Schoolboys.

Sean then moved back to Dublin and attended University College Dublin, earning a Diploma in Business and Sports Management. He represented Ireland at Under-19s and U19 Sevens, as well as Ireland Under-20s for two consecutive years in 2014 and 2015. He currently is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Hertforshire in Business and Sports Management.

He played Leinster Academy from 2015-2018, playing mainly in the British and Irish Cup with Leinster ‘A’ and made five senior appearances in Pre Season games.

Sean will Play with FreeJacks in 2020.
