Old Glory DC signed Timothy ‘Mo’ Katz for the 2019 season. The 24-year-old prop/hooker is 6’0″ and 225 lbs.
Mo is from Centreville, Virginia. He attended Westfield High School where he lettered in lacrosse and football. He then attended James Madison University from 2012-2016, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
He began playing rugby while at James Madison with the team winning multiple Cardinal Conference Championships and then the 2015 Keystone Rugby Championship. The team won the 2015 USA National Sevens Division II Championship and advanced to the semifinals in the 2016 Las Vegas Invitational.
Mo was honored as a 2014/2015 USA Rugby Collegiate All-American Honorable Mention and in 2016 represented the Collegiate All-Americans on tour to Queensland, Australia. He also was named as the rugby 15s MVP of the Keystone Rugby Conference. In 2016 the team was Chesapeake Collegiate Rugby Conference Champions and he was an All-Conference selection.
Mo played club rugby for NOVA Rugby Club. He also played representative rugby for the Capital Rugby Union Selects in 2017 against Stars Rugby and in 2019 against USARugby South.
