NOLA Gold Rugby Club added James ‘Doc’ Irey ahead of their 2019 match against the Glendale Raptors. The 32-year old prop is 6’0” and 300 lbs.
Doc attended Winter Park High School, graduating in 2005. He enlisted in the US Navy in 2005 and is a US Navy Corpsman.
He preciously played rugby for the Norfolk Blues 2013-2018, New Orleans RFC 2018-2019, Capital Selects 2016-2018, USA Rugby South Panthers 2019, Savages RFC 2018-2019, ALL Navy 7s 2017, and the Combined Sea Services 2017-2019.
Doc is an experienced prop who has played representative rugby. With injuries to some of the NOLA Gold reserves, he can fulfill an immediate team need. NOLA Gold is familiar with his place as he played against the team for the Capital Selects last year.
