The New England Free Jacks added Steven Hinshaw for the 2018-2019 exhibition season. The 22-year-old hooker is 6’2″ and 240 lbs.
Steve is from South Bend, Indiana and attended the Bishop’s School from 2009-2014. He then attended Dartmouth College from 2014-2018, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. While at Dartmouth, he was exposed to rugby and played for three years. He was co-captain of the team in 2017 and 2018. He also helped the team advance to the D1AA National Final.
Steve then played for Mystic River Rugby Club and for the New England Free Jacks during their 2018 exhibition matches. He was named to start at hooker for the Car Cup against the Connacht Eagles and hopes to contribute to the team in 2019.
