The Utah Warriors have added Arthur Bergo to the team for the remainder of the 2019 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old back row is 6’2″ and 220 lbs.
Bergo is from São Paulo, Brazil and attended Colégio Santa Maria, Mount Maungaanui College, and the Universidade Presbitteriana Mackenzie.
Bergo plays club rugby for São Paulo Athletic Club and has played for the Brazil Sevens team in the Olympics and for the Brazil 15s, as well. He has played 27 times for the Brazil National Team, however, 23 of them were international tests for the Tupis.
Bego made his international rugby 15s debut for Brazil against Germany at Bluemenau on November 28, 2015. His last appearance was against Uruguay on March 9, 2019, at Montevideo, where he competed in the Americas Rugby Championship.
Bergo was part of the World Rugby Combine in October and played for the Rugby Americas Selects against the Glendale Raptors and scored a try.
