San Diego Legion Adds Jordan Manihera

The San Diego Legion have added Māori All-Blacks Jordan Manihera for the remainder of the 2019 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old back row is 6’5″ and 249 lbs.

Jordan is from Auckland, New Zealand and attended Westlake Boys High School. He has an extensive rugby playing career.

Jordan played for the New Zealand Under-20s in the IRB Junior World Championship in France in 2013. He also played for North Harbour from 2013-2015. He was captain of the Under-20s that won the North Championship title in 2012. He made his North Harbour Senior Side debut in 2012 and played in the ITM Cup debut in 2013. In 2014 he also made two appearances for the Super Rugby Blues debuting against the Crusaders and then going on the two-match South American tour.

Jordan then moved to the Waikato Rugby Union and mas made 12 appearances for Waikato in the Mitre 10 Cup since 2016. Jordan also played for the Māori All-Blacks in 2017 against Canada and the French Barbarians.

In an effort to strengthen the forward’s attack, the San Diego Legion have added Jordan for the remainder of the 2019 MRL season. He is projected to play No.8.
