New England Free Jacks Karl Rempe

The New England Free Jacks have utilized Karl Rempe for the 2018-2019 exhibition season. The 27-year-old center is 6’0″ and 210 lbs.

Karl attended Fairfield Warde High School from 2006-10 sports. He then went to the University of Maryland from 2010-14, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Marketing. He also was a study abroad student at Vienna University of Economics & Business Administration.

Karl played rugby at Maryland as a fullback and center . and played in the Collegiate Rugby Championship. After graduating he joined Fairfield Yankees and was the Vice President of the Yankees from 2016-2018. He joined Mystic River for Summer 2018 and helped the team to a third-place finish at the USA Club 7s Nationals.

Karl played for the Free Jacks against Rugby United New York and against the Utah Warriors and hopes to contribute further as the team enters the Cara Cup and then plays the Toronto Arrows, Lansdowne FC, and Old Glory DC.

Karl has benefited through playing rugby and has paid that forward. He was the Fairfield High School 2017-2018 Head Sevens Coach, as well as the Freshman Head Coach in 2018. He also serves as the Director or COBRA (City of Bridgeport Rugby Alliance) since 2017.
