Houston SaberCats Rodrick Waters

The Houston SaberCats and West Houston Lions have shared Rodrick Waters in 2018 and in 2019. The 25-year-old wing is 5’9″ and 200 lbs.

Rodrick is from Richmond, Texas and attended Foster High School until his graduation in 2011. He played football for 4 years and then went to Blinn College from 2011-2012 on a football scholarship. He then transferred to Western State Colorado University from 2013-2018 majoring in Exercise and Sports Science. He played football on scholarship and played rugby with Western State during the summer.

Western State is widely known for its outdoor activities and Rodrick had many options to enjoy hiking in his spare time.

Rodrick was a try scorer at Western State and this has continued for the West Houston Lions in 2018-2019. He played in the Houston SaberCats preseason matches and it is expected that he may see action sometime during the 2019 MLR regular season.
