Rugby United New York Adds Chris Vakasisikakala

Rugby United New York has added Chris Vakasisikakala to the team for the 2019 Major league Rugby season. The 26-year-old center is 5’11” and 220 lbs.

Chris is from Suva, Fiji and resides in the Bronx. He attended Mount St Michael Academy, where he played football and graduated in 2011. He then attended Penn State University for three years and continued to play rugby. He then transferred to Wheeling Jesuit University for the 2015-2016 season and was named to the Rugby East D1A Second Team Backs. He was aa Environment and Sustainability Major.

Chris played club rugby for the Pittsburgh Harlequins, Lansdowne, and Old Blue. He represented Old Blue at the USA Rugby Club 7s Nationals in 2018.

Chris played for Rugby United New York in both the Spring exhibition season and the Fall 2018 preseason. He now joins the team for 2019.
