Houston SaberCats Jack Riley

The Houston SaberCats had Jack Riley return from an injury sustained during the 2018Major League Rugby season to be included as a reserve for the opening match of the 2019 season. The 25-year-old prop/hooker is 6’0″ and 270 lbs.

Jack is from Warwickshire, U.K. and attended the Rugby School on scholarship, playing for the 1st XV.  The Rugby School is where William Webb Ellis invented the game in 1823. He then attended Bilton High School and played for the Rugby Lions of Rugby Town, England.

Jack then moved to Texas and played with the West Houston Lions. He played in numerous exhibition season matches with the Houston SaberCats in 2017 and 2018 before an injury cut his season short.

Jack will play with the West Houston Lions and the Houston SaberCats in 2019 based on team needs.
