The 2019 Americas Rugby Championship are impacting Major League Rugby teams with players having national team commitments. NOLA Gold has four players that will see ARC action on Saturday, February 1. Teams have anticipated this with signings and some additions, like Caleb Meyer, who played in a preseason match December 5 against USA Rugby South.
Caleb is 28-years-old, 6’3″, and 215 lbs. he is from Lake Mills, Wisconsin and went to the University of Utah after his commitment with the U.S. Marines ended.
Caleb attended the University of Utah from 2015-2018 and played rugby while there. He was nationally recognized as a prop, but also played lock and flanker for the Utes. In 2015 he was a D1A West All-Conference Second Team selection. He attended the Rugby Utah Olympic Development Academy Combine in 2016 and was invited to train with the Academy. In 2018 Caleb was selected to the PAC All-Conference Team and the Collegiate-All-Americans as a prop.
