Houston SaberCats Adds Jason Harris-Wright

The Houston SaberCats have added Jason Harris-Wright as a coach for the 2019 Major League Rugby season.

Jason grew up in Kilcoole in County Wicklow in Ireland. He attended Presentation College in Bray and played No.8 for the school team, as they reached the Leinster Schools Junior Cup final. During his last year in school, he went to Blackrock College.

In 2009 Jason played with the Greystones and then with Clontarf. He also played Senior rugby with Leinster from 2009-2011. With Leinster, he played with Leinster Schools, the Under-20s, Leinster A,  and with Leinster in the Heineken Cup and in the British & Irish Cup.

During the 2011-2012 season, Jason played with Bristol, winning the regular season RFU Championship, but lost in the semifinals and the team was not promoted. He then switched to Connacht from 2012-2016, where he made 52 appearances.

From 2016-2017 he played with the London Irish and in 2017-2018 he returned to Bristol in the Greene King IPA Championship.

Jason also played for the Ireland Under-19s six times and with the Under-20s ten times.
