Austin Elite Rugby Re-Signs Reece Czarnecki

Austin Elite Rugby signed Reece Czarnecki for a second Major League Rugby season. Reece Czarnecki is from Wyoming, Michigan and is 26 years old, 5’11”, and weighs 200 pounds. He was among a number of recent college graduates that signed with the team last year and finished in 5th place in the MLR during 2018.

Czarnecki went to West Catholic High School and after graduation in 2011, went to Davenport University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Management in 2015. He then attended graduate school there in 2016-2017.

While at Davenport University, Czarnecki played rugby as a wing and was a USA Rugby Collegiate Sevens All-Americans in 2013-2014, as well as being selected to the 2013 Collegiate Sevens National Championship All-Tournament team. In 2017 he was selected to the second team Sevens All-Americans. In August 2017 he played at the Rugbytown Sevens for the USA Rugby Collegiate All-Americans. In rugby 15s, he was selected as an April 2015, D1A Rugby co-player of the week.

Reece also played for the Austin Blacks in 2017and looks forward to making a difference with Austin Elite Rugby again in 2019.
