Toronto Arrows Signs Johnny Sheridan

The Toronto Arrows signed Johnny Sheridan for the 2019 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old wing, is 6’0″ and 195 lbs.

Johnny is from Bolton, Ontario and played rugby at Humberview Secondary School. While there, he was a four-time MVP. He also played for the Ontario Under-17s and won a gold medal.

He attended Humber College from 2013-2017 earning a Business Administration Advanced Diploma. He also earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Guelph where he attended from 2017-2018.

While at Humber College, he was named Humber Varsity Freshman Athlete and Rookie of the Year in 2014. he also was named the 2014 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Men’s Rugby Player of the Year. He played in the National University Sevens Rugby Championship in 2015 and was named as a Universities All-Star. He also helped the team win four consecutive OCAA Gold medals.

At the University of Guelph, he played rugby for the Gryphons during the 2017-2018 season.  He also played club rugby for the Markham Irish in the Marshall Premiership League.

In 2018 Johnny also played for the Ontario Blues in the Canadian Rugby Championship and for the Arrows during their exhibition season. He will continue to play wing for the Arrows in 2019 and will be a scoring threat on the outside channel.
