Germany vs Kenya Preview
Germany and Kenya will face each other in the final World Rugby repechage match in Marseille, France this Friday at Noon ET. Neither team can win the repechage, but Germany can still finish second should Hong Kong lose against Canada.
Germany has made six changes in the starters with Jörn Schröder and Matthias Schösser the props and Ayron Schramm gaining his first start at No. 8. In the backs, the wings have been swapped with Marcel Coetzee and Steffen Liebig starting and Hagen Schulte gaining the start at inside center.
Kenya has made five changes to their starters with Philip Ikambili at hooker in place of injured Colman Were and George Nyambua at flanker. Samson Onsomu is the scrumhalf, Peter Kilonzo gets his first start at outside center in place of Collins Injera, and Darwin Mukidza returns to a starting role at wing.
Germany will be favored to beat Kenya, but can’t allow Kenya to gain any early momentum. Both teams are playing for pride, as well as for world rankings.
