Seattle Seawolves & Taylor Krumrei
The Seattle Seawolves re-signed Taylor Krumrei at lock for the 2019 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old player is 6’5″ tall and weighs 245 pounds.
Taylor Krumrei began playing rugby his senior year in high school for Lamorinda Rugby Club in Moraga, California. He attended Campolindo High School from 2006 until he graduated in 2010. He then went on to play in college at the University of Oregon from 2010 to 2014 where he graduated majoring in Human Physiology.
After graduating, Krumrei moved to Seattle to play for the Seattle Saracens except for a four-month period in 2017 when he trained with the Waikato Premier Rugby Club in New Zealand. He then returned to Seattle in 2017 and joined the Seattle Seawolves for the inaugural 2018 Major League Rugby season. At season’s end, it was an excellent feeling to have helped the team win the Championship.
Following the season, Taylor returned to play with the Seattle Saracens and was selected to play with the USA Rugby Selects in the Americas Pacific Challenge.
Seattle Seawolves Comments
“We are excited to announce 2019 re-sign, Taylor Krumrei. The lock put in an impressive amount of match minutes in the 2018 season and suited up in every single game. Krumrei is consistently lethal in the air, on both lineouts and kickoffs, playing a huge role in possession retention. He also spent some time with the USA Rugby Selects this offseason. Welcome back to the Seattle Southside, Taylor!” #TogetherWeHunt
