Toronto Arrows & Jack Evans

The Toronto Arrows signed fullback Jack Evans for the 2019 Major League Rugby season. The 21-year-old athlete is 6’1″ and weighs 205 pounds.

Jack was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and spent most of his life in Wales. He attended Llandovery College from 2013-2018 where he played rugby and golf, having a 14 handicap. He was honored with several awards including finishing third in the Welsh Under-18s and Under-20s Combined events in athletics and in 2014 was the European Junior Fly-fishing champion.

Jack also played rugby for the Gloucester Academy and for the Scarlets Academy, as well as for Bath A Seniors. He played rugby with Birmingham-Moseley, Liandovery, and for Gloucester United.

He represented the Scarlets Under-16s and Under-18s, as well as the same age-grade for Wales. He was particularly proud of the Wales U16s beating England in 2013.

During Summer 2015, he played rugby sevens for Gloucester in the Singa Premiership Sevens, missing only the final due to rolling his ankle.

When Jack joins the Toronto Arrows, he will immediately be eligible to play for Canada due to his birth in Vancouver. He is a fullback but has also played wing.
