Dotti graduated from Ivy Thomas Memorial High School and then studied at the Universidad ORT Uruguay.

In 2014 he played against the U.S. in the Junior World Rugby Trophy Bronze match in the team’s 26-25 loss.  Since then, he has played for Uruguay A and the Senior National team since 2015.

Dotti debuted for the Uruguay national Rugby Team on April 11, 2015, against Paraguay and his last match was against Argentina XV on June 10, 2018. He has 35 caps, starting 27 times and scoring three tries.

He also helped Uruguay to qualify for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan as the Americas 2 team with a 70-60 aggregate victory over Canada. Uruguay will be in Pool D along with Australia, Wales, Georgia, and Fiji.

For Uruguay A, he played at the 2014 Americas Rugby Championship and most recently in October 2018 in the Americas Pacific Challenge.

Dotti also has played against the Houston SaberCats in a January 20, 2018 preseason match at Sugar Land, Texas.
